Key stormwater outcomes for the site include the removal of residential-based pollutants across its large catchment areas.

Four SPEL Vortceptors will help manage pollution removal across the development. Designed to suit a variety of catchment sizes, these Gross Pollutant Traps (GPTs) treat flow rates up to 1600 litres per second.

The Vortceptor meets all relevant Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) criteria. Its innovative and sustainable design makes it an excellent choice for residential zoning. Vortceptor Installation
The Vortceptor is engineered from fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) and supplied with a 25-year warranty.
FRP construction imparts resilience and adaptability. This helps these stormwater devices tolerate any tough conditions, including acid-sulfate soils, erosion, and corrosion.
A non-blocking hydrodynamic separator, the Vortceptor has a unique screen. It uses vortex treatment action to capture and contain pollutants. These devices have been field and laboratory tested to show efficacy at pollution removal above industry standards. Key contaminants removed from local stormwater flows include gross pollutants, sediment, silt, nutrients, oils and grease.
These pollutants are common in residential areas, and effective stormwater treatment prevents their conveyance to nearby streams and waterways.
The lightweight nature of these systems ensure they are easily freighted and installed. Subsequently, there is a reduction in carbon footprint. Three days on-site were needed for installation and backfill. This quick process delivers less open excavation, lifting requirements, and freight costs.
